Claire first visited Ecuador in 2011 as a study abroad student at the University of Minnesota, and because she has maintained that connection, she began Bibliotecas para Imbabura in 2019. With a passion for literacy and supporting education in rural Ecuador, Claire has worked during the past 4 years to reach a variety of schools, educators and communities and get them started on their own school libraries. With her education, bilingual skills and experience as an instructional coach, Claire is excited to be working not only with schools and administrators, but specifically with educators in rural schools to help them help their students.
